For more than 30 years, Lambda Literary has provided the programs, tools, recognition, and space to affirm the value of LGBTQ literary life, create community, and preserve legacies. Like many arts organizations that serve historically marginalized communities, we do not have deep cash reserves from which to draw. Our biggest source of support has always been you, our community. VOLUNTEER
Our various programs and events may need extra hands/minds to pull off successfully from time to time. We’re eager to offer opportunities for engagement to members of our community who might be looking for ways to be a bigger part of Lambda. You can choose to volunteer for a specific program such as Writers in Schools or the Lammy Awards, or indicate more broad interest in being placed wherever Lambda might need you. Perks for volunteering may include free merch or comped admission to Lambda events, in addition to a behind-the-scenes look at all of the vital work we do to celebrate LGBTQ+ storytellers.
