We need your help to advocate for LGBTQ writers this holiday season! For over 30 years, Lambda Literary has provided essential opportunities for LGBTQ writers including cultivating emerging voices through our Writers Retreat, connecting LGBTQ writers to schools, and recognizing outstanding achievements in the Lambda Literary Awards.
None of the work we do would be possible without support from community members like you. As attacks and censorship efforts around the country ramp up against queer storytellers, Lambda Literary’s work is vital now more than ever to ensure our voices can be heard.
Lambda Literary plays an important role in sustaining a literary ecosystem of writers, readers, fellows, young people, supporters, friends, and families all dedicated to the advancement of LGBTQ literature. We are an organization unique in our prioritization of LGBTQ voices, national network, and championing of writers in multiple genres.
We are also proud to see that participants in our programs regularly praise their inclusive atmosphere, authenticity, and the opportunity to connect with like-minded people. As one school librarian said about Writers in Schools, “Participating in the Lambda Literary author visit creates a positive experience … it reminds students that learning comes in many forms, including building connections with other people. After the author visit is over, there is a joyful ripple effect that can sustain students for a long time.”
We need your support to sustain this vital work! Make a donation before 2024 is over and step up for LGBTQ writers and lives.
