Submissions will be open through Friday, May 1st.
McSweeney’s Quarterly editor’s call for stories:
I am looking for absurd, bold, bleak, and astonishing works of fiction by queer writers of all orientations. I’m seeking work that departs from traditional forms of queer representation and instead grapples with new lines of inquiry and exploration. In short, I am looking for stories that subvert the idea of what queer fiction should be. Stories should be under 6,000 words.
Thank you so much for sharing your work with us. We can’t wait to read it.
