Last week, Lambda LitFest brought LA’s LGBTQ community together at over forty literary events held across the city.
Over 150 performers–including Tegan & Sara, Charlie Jane Anders, Abdi Nazemian, Nina Revoyr, and Danez Smith–read work on the theme of “All the Feelings.” The events represented a wide range of genres, aesthetics, and topics including “Celebrating the Asian-American LGBTQ+ Experience,” “The Importance of Queer History in Young Adult Novels,” and “Unsilencing Queer Africa.”
As Lambda LitFest’s Event Producer Sam Cohen relayed, “It has been a truly magical week in which we’ve seen that, by amplifying and gathering to listen to queer and trans voices, worlds emerge.”
Lambda LitFest is made possible by funding from The National Endowment for the Arts, California Arts Council, Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, the City of West Hollywood, UCLA Writers Extension, and Antioch MFA Program.
