Watch the Book Trailer for Will Schwalbe’s ‘The End of Your Life Book Club’

Author: Paige Cohen

October 10, 2012

Will Schwalbe’s debut memoir The End of Your Life Book Club (Knopf) is described by Publisher’s Weekly as an “astonishing, pertinent, and wonderfully welcome work.” The book tells the moving true story of Schwalbe and his mother, who form a book club “that brings them together as her life comes to a close.”

From the Publisher:

Will and Mary Anne share their hopes and concerns with each other—and rediscover their lives—through their favorite books. When they read, they aren’t a sick person and a well person, but a mother and a son taking a journey together. The result is a profoundly moving tale of loss that is also a joyful, and often humorous, celebration of life: Will’s love letter to his mother, and theirs to the printed page.

Aw, the wonders that books bring! And what better way to write a love letter than through sharing a story of your own, as Mr. Schwalbe has done in his touching new memoir. Check out an excerpt from the book here and feast your eyes on the lovely book trailer below:
